The Gateway to Jewish Education, Est. 2026
TGJE was the brainchild of founder David Nathan Almoslino with the idea that “in today’s modern world, every Jew (or convert) has easy access to learning Judaism." Indeed, David has been navigating the Jewish education world for over 4 decades, not having extensive formal Jewish education growing up. In his 20’s David’s personal (Jewish) growth began as a defense of his religion while living with a Christian. He realized he didn’t know much about it, but since it was his religion at birth, he felt that it was no accident that he was born Jewish and so decided to embark on his lifelong journey.
At first, with the guidance of “Kollel” (team of …) Rabbis, he was directed to learn from studying the Talmud (oral teachings that were eventually written down and discussed at great length). In short order, David, with his desire to get to know Judaism, it’s purpose and his purpose, he found his own path, by seeking to understand Judaism from the 10,000 foot level. Years later, he realized that his never ending questioning would lead to sharing his passion for Judaism, and what he learned to the greater Jewish (and beyond) world in his upcoming (to be titled) book. G’d willing.
David’s lifelong goal of learning – and to teach others - may one day be a beacon for many more Jews to easily enhance their understanding of such a dynamic religion or to “find their way home.” With this website, the table is set for Jews to easily move forward at their own pace.
TGJE is pleased to offer the following:
Carefully selected websites and literature from sources that accurately reflect the religion based on what we feel are generally accepted practices from Jewish legal and rabbinical authorities.
Categorized Jewish educational resources by topic.
An organized method for learning the religion, as opposed to simply providing the viewer with overwhelming information.
Provide mentorship for viewers who want to take their learning journey with one or more valuable companions along the way.

Express Pathways Introduction

The goal of this section is to provide guidance to viewers who are looking for a more expedient path to learning Judaism.
Whether you’re just curious, or looking for a more meaningful and purposeful way of living life, we want this to be a pleasurable experience for you. After all, for those who connect with G-d (“Hashem” = “The Name”) as part of their learning experience, keep in mind that the first thing you should know is that He created you, us, and this world in such a way for us to personally experience the goodness of life. If you find yourself struggling with the material, then make adjustments until it “clicks” for you.
Section: CONSIDERATIONS: YOU!
  1. Have you considered your best learning style? Do you prefer to acquire information from a logical, intellectual, methodological approach, or are you motivated to connect with information that is more of a feelings/spiritual nature? If you know this prior to your learning journey, it will speed up your learning and at the same time make it more enjoyable for you. We haven’t classified our education by these definitions, but just want you to be aware that if you’re learning from an approach that isn’t working for you, to keep looking until you find the best approach for your pleasure.
  2. Second – choosing your mentor. Our sages and current educators will most likely advise you to take your learning journey with a friend or learning partner. It is preferred that you acquire an active learning partner and/or mentor that will help answer your questions, get to know you and foster your growth. Keep in mind that partners’ and mentors’ approach may be different than yours which you may find advantageous or, conversely, unproductive.
  3. Third – Inspiration/Motivation. What inspires you? The fact that you’ve already made it to this website likely indicates that something is already motivating you and your search. As a gift from Hashem, we provide you with hand picked resources in the GTJE Library in Aisles 1 and 2. Enjoy, and come back often.
  4. Fourth– Media. What is your media of choice? Reading from hard copy? Reading on-line? Audio? Video? Fortunately, in today’s world, we have choices though some methods can be converted easily to a method that more suits your fancy.

>.. Judaism Unraveled (Rabbi G. Mandel) 268 pages. This book offers much less on the practices of Judaism and much more on the deeper understanding of “what makes Judaism so special?”

C. EXTENDED CURRICULUM.

When you’re ready to go beyond the basic overview and into a more comprehensive understanding, we recommend the Olami Morasha Syllabus. The OLAMI MORASHA SYLLABUS is a comprehensive course covering a wide range of important Jewish fundamentals. While it isn’t as brief as the other sources noted above, it is a solid educational resource that we highly recommend – especially with a teacher, friend and/or mentor.

CONNECTING…

Thoughts about personally connecting with Hashem

Our SOUL is the invisible connecting link we all have with Hashem, our Creator. Of course, each of us will need to define what that connection looks like and feels like. We provide a few sources to help you ponder that most important aspect of our life.
